Russian Winnie the Pooh!

When I went to Russia about three years ago, I saw a lot of look-alikes of American cartoon characters. (Below is a picture of the famous mousetress and such I saw in Russia).

I even bought a set of nesting dolls that resembles Winnie the Pooh, but better... in my sense at least.
It looks like this!

Ooops, I was missing Piglet!

So, that was three years ago and I had sort of forgotten about my little Pooh nesting dolls. Then, I found a YouTube video of Russian Winnie the Pooh a couple of days ago! They look totally different from the original or my nesting dolls. It's even BETTER!!! They have so much more character to it!
I love the feel of Russian animation and characters! They are so cute!

Hope you'll love it just as much as I do!

I've never seen Star Wars before.

Sean often makes fun of me for not seeing Star Wars before, but hey, it's not my fault.
I think it runs in my blood. If Star Wars was as ridiculous as this commercial, I just might watch it.

This commercial pretty much sums up what every Japanese person loves: robots, totally unnecessary explosions, and yes, tuna fish!
"Peace is within deliciousness" is what they say at the end of the clip.

The sheep wants to shave!

I hadn't updated this blog for a long time!
Well, here's something cute and fun that I found. (Sorry, it's in Japanese, but you'll see how cute this animation is!)

If you have seen Usavich, the animation might look familiar to you since they are done by the same studio.

It's about a 20-year-old girl sheep. (She mentions her self as a "20-year-old dreaming girlie girl" lol.)

To pursue her girlishness, she tries to shave her fur...

The longer version of the commercial in the Yan Yan Machiko Video.
It keeps saying "The man of men, the shaver of shavers!"

Enjoy!

Happy Independence Day!

We biked over to Minneapolis to see fireworks!
I love how close we are to Minneapolis now that we moved to NE Minneapolis! :)

Midget + Camera = fireworks shooting off of a random guy's head.

That is more like it.

Happy July 4th!

NYC3

After our 5 hour stay in Chicago, we left there around 9pm and arrived at the central station in NY around 3pm the next day.

Photo: Somewhere between Chicago and NYC.
The lake beyond the farm reminds me of the sea around my island...

NYC2

We took this train to Chicago and had about 5 hours of free time there and then we hopped on to a train to NYC.

We walked around and Sean did some drawings! :)

Millennium park was fun with a free concert and lots of fun sculptures!

Beautiful garden and sky scrapers!

Cool dome covered by a mirror material with a path in the middle.

We tried to be creative with the sculpture.

In the center of the dome.

Roar! Me and Sean having fun.
(I'm not made in China by the way.)

Silly fountain that had videos of faces shown on the screen and it spits out water occasionally.

NYC 1

I just got home from NYC! I followed Sean going to a comic book convention called, MOCCA. We took trains to get there on the 4th and got there on the 5th. (It was a 30 hour trip!) I flew back today and Sean is on a train heading back to Minnesota.

I walked around and had a lot of fun in NYC! I'll update mini posts to show you what I was doing there!

Fruity salad and fishy sushi

Today was a good day. :)
A lot of good things happened today.

1. We cleaned up the apartment.

2. I put the winter clothes away and put out the summer clothes.
Now it feels more like summer in my closet ;)

3. I found a dollar in my pants pocket when I was cleaning up and was about to throw the pants away.

4. We got to have a little adventure on our bikes while getting the groceries for dinner.

5. Alec and Jenny came over for dinner. They made us a big delicious salad and we made a ton of sushi together!

6. Jeremy finally ate his food!

7. Now I'm stuffed with all the good food...zzz
